Trade in to ILUMA
IQOS ILUMA is our latest generation of IQOS devices.
IQOS ILUMA heats tobacco sticks through induction. As a result, the blade can no longer break, and cleaning is no longer required.
Since IQOS ILUMA uses induction, it can exclusively be used in combination with TEREA tobacco sticks and not with HEETS tobacco sticks. TEREA tobacco sticks can not be used in combination with the current generation of IQOS devices. We understand that this can be confusing.
We see it as our obligation to avoid confusion around this compatibility. Therefore, as an IQOS user, you can trade in your current IQOS device for a new IQOS ILUMA device*. So that you don’t have to worry about any trouble in the future. And to this new device, a new 1-year warranty period applies.
With your new IQOS ILUMA device, you will start using TEREA tobacco sticks. Apart from the technology that is used, TEREA is fully comparable with HEETS.

Follow these 3 steps to trade in your device to IQOS ILUMA
Make sure your device is registered
Access your My device(s) Page on myIQOS.com and ensure that you have registered your current IQOS device that you want to trade-in towards IQOS ILUMA.
Find a Service Point
You need to find an Service point proposing the trade in service. To find it, you can use our Service Points Locator.
Bring your current device
Visit the store. Make sure to bring your old device, without it we cannot process the trade-in.
